My experience with the new OneDrive Team Site Sync
- Richard TaylorOct 05, 2016Copper Contributor
Each time I a make a local file change or add/delete a file locally ODFB gets stuck in processing changes. Quit and restart fixes. Also it seems my team site sync folder is locked and I can not add or modify locally. Little green icon and I now lack permissions even though I am the owner.
- Erik DroszczOct 05, 2016Brass ContributorHi Peter,
I have the same issue.
Running Windows 10 Enterprise 1607 (OS Build 14393.222) and OneDrive for Business 17.3.6642.0922.- George PapadakisOct 05, 2016Copper Contributor
Well it seems the bug does exist in window 10 1607 with the new client. Processing changes stuck till restart.
Also i noticed that the same happens if you let the computer go to sleep. On wake up processing changes till a proper restart.
Update:Client seems to be much more stable with office collaboration unchecked!!!!!!, any use of sharing through office2016 results in the same bug.

Yes, my ODFB Preview icons go into a "processing changes" state for long periods of time, and a file stays in "downloading" as well. I suspect the cause is that someone else in the group has the document open for editing, because I've seen the same behavior with the old client when I have a document open locally for a long time.

I gave up on syncing other libraries until this is fixed. However, I'm still seeing the behavior you described. I'm stuck with "processing changes" until I shut it down and restart it. When I click on the ODFB icon it says its up to date, hovering it says "processing changes".

This is true, it seems the processing changes bug is a major issue, have high hopes for this client hope we will have a more stable version soon.
- Erik DroszczOct 24, 2016Brass ContributorLooks like there is a new build (17.3.6673.1011) out of the preview client.
I believe the version that was released after the announcement at Ignite was 17.3.6642.0922.
Have you guys noticed any improvements in the new build when it comes to the "processing changes" issue?
I just upgraded to the new build today and so far it is still syncing files even after the computer have been running for a few hours :)- Paul CunninghamOct 24, 2016Steel Contributor
I had to remove the preview builds and disable the reg key. Since installing it my explorer processes were terribly unstable, as well as the "processing changes" issue which left me in the lurch when I travelled overseas and changes to work in progress hadn't synced from my main PC, so it wasn't available to me while I was on the road.
While I'm not yet 100% sure OneDrive was the cause of the explorer.exe problems, I haven't had the issue since reverting.

Thanks for pointing out the new build. Just installed. I'll see how it goes the rest of the week.
