Missing Files
Files appearing in the OneDrive website’s recycle bin indicate that a synchronized deletion reached the cloud; they were not merely local cache entries. Stop further synchronization first: quit or unlink OneDrive on the Mac and do not empty either recycle bin. Sign in to OneDrive on the web, confirm this is the correct account, select the missing items, and restore them. If many files were removed together and your subscription supports it, use Restore your OneDrive to return the library to a point before the incident. Once the cloud copy is safe, troubleshoot the Mac client by unlinking it, clearing the cached OneDrive credential in Keychain Access, reinstalling the current client, and linking the correct account again. Do not manually remove files from the OneDrive cache or CloudStorage folder during recovery. For a work or school account, an administrator may also inspect the SharePoint second-stage recycle bin.
