Marking a file or folder as cloud only
I am working with Windows 11 on an Acer desktop computer and have uploaded numerous files into One Drive. But I want to designate those files as Cloud Only as I am trying to clear up space on my harddrive. Can someone tell me how to do this?

- HebephreneCopper ContributorWhen I google how to do this, I am advised to right click on the folder and choose "Free up space.' but that option does not appear when I right click. So getthing nowhere despite how consequential and central this question is to one's use of One Drive

Try first markt the folder (left side on the name of the folder.. have to appear as markt :white_heavy_check_mark:️ ), and after that click rigth botom.
if not try inside of the folder, doc by doc..
Hope it works

- HebephreneCopper ContributorFirst thank you so much for trying to help. When I left click on the folder or file a blue check mark appears on the left indicating the file is selected but then a right click gives me the same list, share, copy, move details etc but no option to make this cloud only. I opened the file and tried to do it with the contents but same thing
