I can't do Co-authorizing on shared OneDrive file that is on my PC
I shared a folder to a collogue of which she has saved so it is online and also a hardcopy on the computer. When she opens an excel file from the computer, it does not show the Co-authorizing ability...

Co-authoring in Excel desktop only works when the file is truly cloud-based.
Requirements for Excel Desktop Co-authoring to Work
- File must be stored in OneDrive or SharePoint Online
- The file must be opened from the cloud, not just the local sync folder
- AutoSave must be turned on
- Both users need to be using Excel 365 or 2019+
- The file must not be password protected, macro-enabled (.xlsm), or opened in compatibility mode

Use Office Online (Web)
This always supports co-authoring:
- If both users open from https://onedrive.live.com, collaboration is seamless.
- Useful for quick edits if desktop syncing is causing trouble.
