Account already connected

I was trying reconfigure my one drives ( personal and work) during which I received a msg to update my onedrive app on Mac. After doing that I tried to sync the file but I received a msg  'a different version of OneDrive app is already connected to this account'. I tried changing folder locations etc but failed. Please assist how to resolve this issue
