".tmp.driveupload"
I am having an issue where my word doc (set to autosave to OneDrive business desktop app) on my PC is suddenly saved in a ".tmp.driveupload" folder online under a different file name (random numbers)...
I've chased this problem for a while now. Don't know if you ever got it resolved. The whole "reset/reinstall everything" is a waste of time, because the root cause is crappy handling of sync issues with Office and One Drive/ShitePoint. That's the technical explanation. 🙂
Don't suppose you figured out another fix? I just do "Save As" on the strangly numbered document, save it to the correct place, overwrite the version there, then sync starts working.
Unresolved, I also use the "save as" fix, and wait for MS to bring back ol Clippy, convinced he'll be more helpful than MS Support.
