Bridge to Cloud V1.0 - Upgrade from Essentials to Premium

Hi,

One of our customers, who is on Bridge to Cloud v1.0 would like to upgrade from BC Essentials to BC Premium. Since the promo is ended, the CSP does not offer these SKUs. Kindly advise if there are other options to upgrade.

with regards,

Saravana Selvan

  • Hi lpsselvan

Thank you for your post!

Per the Global Promo Readiness Guide, if a promotion is available, that promotional price will automatically be applied.

As a friendly reminder, Partners can access the list of all CSP promotions in the Global Promo Readiness Guide and/or by using the Offer Matrix

Promotions are applied by the Partner Center when you purchase the product SKU that the promotion is available for. Partner promotions are available in the Partner Center catalog in product SKU details. You can select View promotion details to get more information about the promotion.

You can view the promotion details from the catalog page view SKU details, the review page before submitting the purchase, the confirmation after the order is submitted and the order history page.

From my past experiences, upgrade to full priced licenses is the only way.

As you mentioned the BttC1 promo is deprecated and not available anymore for purchase and customer would also not be eligible for the BttC2 promo as that's only for on-premises to Cloud.
I've asked this same question a couple of times to MS support to assist customers to retain their promo discount while upgrading or moving towards other other resellers. Their answers were clear that there's no alternative and the customer can only get full priced licenses to replace them.

So from my past experiences the customer would lose the promo discount if they upgrade. But if you do manage to retain the promo for the customer, I'd be very interested in how you managed that!

    Cheers,
    Martijn
