Why is my conversation view left aligned for me and the person I'm talking to
I agree! I DO NOT like the new presentation where all the conversations are left aligned. Its so much harder now to quickly distinguish each side of a two person conversation. Can we have the old presentation back or at least an option for presentation?
Chat has been all-left-aligned for decades; at least for as long as IRC has been invented. You compose your message in a left-aligned text field; you press Return and it appears left-aligned in the chat history. That's normal and ubiquitous. It's consistent with log files and everything.
I just started using Teams for the first time today and it is the only chat interface which displays my message right-aligned despite composing it left-aligned. This is non-standard, inconsistent, unexpected, and aggravating. In fact, everyone else in the chat is left-aligned with sender names neatly stacked above each other; it's only my messages that are bugged and alienated all the way over right-aligned.
Research to fix this display bug is why I found this page. Consistent left alignment is easy to use; disturbing alignment of some participants to the right is disruptive.
