Try upgrading your teams. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/upgrade-from-microsoft-teams-free-classic-to-microsoft-teams-29475bbd-a34f-4175-9b33-d44430f8ad39
- apoorvak1199Sep 19, 2024Copper ContributorHi Vimal!
Thank you for your reply! But I am already using the newer version. I had installed it from Micrsoft Store.- vimal_raj1984hotmailSep 19, 2024Copper ContributorUnder your current situation, I suggest you
1. Re-confirm whether your Teams service is OK firstly, to do so, please try signing into Teams on the web via https://teams.microsoft.com/.
2. Supposing you are able to sign into Teams on the web, then my understanding is that the issue is related to the Teams desktop client side. Then, please try clearing the Teams cache to see if it helps via the following steps.
1. Fully exit the Microsoft Teams desktop client. To do this, either right click Teams from the Icon Tray and select ‘Quit’, or run Task Manager and fully kill the process.
2. Go to File Explorer, and type in %appdata%\Microsoft\teams
3. Once in the directory, you’ll see a few of the following folders:
.From ‘Application Cache’, go to Cache and delete any of the files in the Cache location. “%appdata%\Microsoft\teams\application cache\cache”
.From ‘Blob_storage’, delete any files that are located in here if any. “%appdata%\Microsoft\teams\blob_storage”
.Within ‘Cache’, delete all files “%appdata%\Microsoft\teams\Cache”
.Within ‘databases’, delete all files “%appdata%\Microsoft\teams\databases”
.Within ‘GPUCache’, delete all files “%appdata%\Microsoft\teams\GPUcache”
.Within ‘IndexedDB’, delete the .db file “%appdata%\Microsoft\teams\IndexedDB”
Within ‘Local Storage’, delete all files “%appdata%\Microsoft\teams\Local Storage”
.Lastly, from ‘tmp’, delete any file “%appdata%\Microsoft\teams\tmp”
4.Once finally done clearing, you can now restart Teams from your local desktop and check if the issue disappears.- apoorvak1199Sep 19, 2024Copper ContributorHi Vimal!
1. Teams on web is working fine.
2. On going to the directory %appdata%\Microsoft\teams. I saw the following files:
- Cache: was already empty
- Code Cache: contains an empty folder named "js"
- IndexedDB: contains an empty folder named "https_teams.microsoft.com_0.indexeddb.blob"
- Local Storage: already empty
- Service Worker: contains folders named "Cache Storage", "Databse", and "ScriptCache"
- Session storage
- skylib
- SkypeRT
- watchdog
- WebStorage
- settings.json
- SquirrelTelemetry.log
- storage.json
- teams_install_session.json
The files that I am supposed to delete, do not exist. So what do I do now?
