Unable to switch organizations on Microsoft Teams

Hi! 

 

Recently we've moved to Microsoft teams (a week ago). Everything was going great until i received an invitation as a guest to another organization.

When I accepted, it asked me to create a new password to enter this new organization, I did but now I'm unable to switch to my original organization and I stay in the guest one.

I have tried doing it through the web page and the Microsoft app in my desktop  but it just stays in a blank window and returns me to the guest organization page.

I've logged out of everything and tried again with no success.

I was sent an invitation again to try and login but it does the same..

 

In the Desktop app the only organization that appears is the one I'm a guest to.

In the Web app the two organizations appear but I can only access the one I'm a guest.

In in the mobile app I have no issue in changing from one to another...

 

Has anyone encountered this? i figured out it was something related as me not being sawy in this platform but i've read through some other questions and  i can't seem to fix it.

    Hi AleMeza ,

     

    If you created a new password then somehow you have created a new account in the new Org and you are not actually a guest. I have no idea why you are seeing 2 orgs in the Web app unless you have somehow invited your new account to your old org. 

     

    There isnt a chance you created a Microsoft Account for the new org and use an office 365 account for your old org is there? 

     

    Beyond that I would suggest a call to Microsoft to help as it seems like something that could be solved quickly on a screen share.

      I do apologize as I am not a fluent English speaker. 😄

       

       my work organization added me through my work email, since we need to comunicate with another company through teams, they sent an invitation to my work email to be part of their organization as a guest. 

      the idea is that I should be able to see both Org since all my coworkers have the same setup and no issue whatsoever. 

      I think that you're right a call with support will be needed.
