The Misleading Teams Remove External Chat from User View API
The Graph removeAllAccessForUser API is supposed to remove external chat messages from the view of a tenant user when the chat contains some objectionable material. Unless the documentation is erroneous, the API doesn’t work as advertised and the results are disappointing. All of which means that blocking content for external chats isn’t really possible. If someone gets to start an external chat, they can pump some horrible stuff into your tenant.

Hi, I agree this needs very clear wording because admins may assume it removes more than it actually does.
I would validate the behavior in three places:
1. The affected user's Teams client view.
2. eDiscovery / Purview search.
3. The external participant's view, if available.
Many Teams APIs affect visibility or access for a specific user, but do not necessarily delete the underlying compliance record or remove content from every participant. If the documentation implies broader removal, I would open a docs feedback item and include the exact API call, expected result, and actual result.
