Teams with Internal UPN problem
- Jan 20, 2020
jfrobs If you have an internal domain like domain.local you can add alternative UPN suffixes.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/enterprise/prepare-a-non-routable-domain-for-directory-synchronizationIf you have multiple e-mail domains or SIP domains you should add them all as UPN suffixes so that you can have the same address for UPN, e-mail and SIP.
I don't think that is possible. The recommendation is that e-mail address and SIP-address (Teams address) should match the UserPrincipalName. It will be easier for users if they match (as you noticed).
