Teams status stuck on Offline
Quite recently (the last few weeks) I've found the Teams status occasionally gets stuck on Offline and cannot be changed to 'Available' when you do go to change it (either via user icon, taskbar icon, or using '/available' command in the search box.
Eventually the issue will resolve itself (e.g., if you keep attempting to change the status to available, it will eventually change back, but obviously this isn't ideal.
(If you don't spot that you appear as offline and attempt to change it back, it will stay like this until you do make a change).
I've found this is far more likely to occur when signing back onto a device although it doesn't exclusively occur in this manner.
Any assistance on this will be great.
I'm not sure how many people this is affecting but I've seen a few tickets and it has occured to me as well.
I've included a short video to show the issue I'm having.
- Hello
Did you try Reset Status already?
On how many devices are you logged on at the same time?- CCChris_MartinBrass ContributorHi Andres,
Only logged onto one device (work laptop).
I've tried changing to all other statuses, resetting status, closing and reopening Teams to no avail.
Now, in my experience, once I start attempting to change the status it tends to fix itself within 5-10 minutes, but if I don't notice it, I appear as offline until I make attempts to change it.
Refreshing the laptop seems to fix it too, and the issue doesn't present itself in the Web App.
So there's plenty of alternatives and workarounds but it is still an issue with the desktop app that could lead to users to believe that you're not online.
