Teams SIP-Gateway Unified Presence
Good Morning Markus_95,
sorry for the delay. Unfortunately, I had to reset the Poly Rove to factory defaults because I forgot the admin password. Fortunately this only happened in my lab environment and the DECT system was installed very quickly yesterday.
Today I did the test and cannot confirm the presence behavior you described. The presence status of my user in the lab environment immediately changes to "on call" when I answer an incoming call on the Poly Rove DECT system.
thank you for your reply and the tests. Mhh.. thats very strange. I have just tested it again in my deployment and my presence is never changing whether I initiate or receive a call via the SIP Gateway. I have looked through your guide to set up the Poly Rove System and for me the configuration I did on our side seems to be the same as on your side.
I have already upgraded the Firmware to version 8.0.3 Build 10.
Due to the fact, that I am able to login/logout, initiate and receive calls, I would assume that the configuration is correct, otherwise I would expect that it is not working.
Maybe I have to check this behaviour with the Microsoft support, because I would assume, that the Backend of MS is responsible for changing the presence state of the user after accepting the call via the SIP Gateway.
Greets,
Markus

Hi Markus_95 ,
if you have a 3PIP device, you could check if it has the same strange presence behavior when connecting over SIP Gateway.
If the IP desk phone has the same problems, I would assume it is a backend issue in your tenant or a network issue.
Best regards,
Thorsten

thanks for the reply.
Thats a good idea, I have a 3PIP device here in the office, so I will give it a try.

Markus- Markus_95Oct 23, 2022Brass ContributorHi,
short update on this. I have just tried it with our VVX 600 device, however the issue is still the same.
Calling is working fine, but the presence is not updating.
I have already created a support case at Microsoft, as I assume that there is an issue in the backend.
But I will try to setup a phone at home to make sure, that the company firewall is not doing any kind of magic, however I would assume, that the MC backend should process the presence changes when the call is answered.
Greets,
Markus
