Teams SIP-Gateway Unified Presence
Hi Markus_95,
I can check the presence behaviour for Poly Rove when I'm back in my office on Monday.
Regarding the DECT infrastructure connected to your SBC:
It's a dedicated telephony solution and therefor isn't connected to Microsoft Teams. One of the disadvantages of such implementations is that the presence state doesn't change in Teams when you use the DECT system for calling.
Since a few weeks the Microsoft GraphAPI supports to set the Microsoft Teams presence status.
So, you can check your SBC or DECT solution if it's able to trigger the GraphAPI, but it shouldn't be so easy to implement.

thanks for your reply!
That would be very nice, if you could check this out on your end.
I will wait for your answer.
Yeah, I know that there might be a solution by making use of the Graph API, however, as you already mentioned, I do not think that it is easy to implement, and our current construct works quite good, even if the presence is not updated. However, the DECT Teams integration via SIP Gateway is interesting.

Good Morning Markus_95,
sorry for the delay. Unfortunately, I had to reset the Poly Rove to factory defaults because I forgot the admin password. Fortunately this only happened in my lab environment and the DECT system was installed very quickly yesterday.
Today I did the test and cannot confirm the presence behavior you described. The presence status of my user in the lab environment immediately changes to "on call" when I answer an incoming call on the Poly Rove DECT system.

thank you for your reply and the tests. Mhh.. thats very strange. I have just tested it again in my deployment and my presence is never changing whether I initiate or receive a call via the SIP Gateway. I have looked through your guide to set up the Poly Rove System and for me the configuration I did on our side seems to be the same as on your side.
I have already upgraded the Firmware to version 8.0.3 Build 10.
Due to the fact, that I am able to login/logout, initiate and receive calls, I would assume that the configuration is correct, otherwise I would expect that it is not working.
Maybe I have to check this behaviour with the Microsoft support, because I would assume, that the Backend of MS is responsible for changing the presence state of the user after accepting the call via the SIP Gateway.
Greets,
Markus
