Teams Phone Call Plan for multiple users

Is it possible to assign a Teams Phone call-plan to multiple users? As in, have five our six users make calls from the same pool of call minutes, etc, from the one call-plan.

  • Hi Mark_F2165,

It is indeed possible to allocate a Teams Phone call-plan to multiple users, but each user utilizing PSTN capabilities must have a Phone System license.

To share the same line number among multiple users, one can create a call queue or auto attendant resource account and assign the shared line number to the resource account.
Subsequently, a Caller ID Policy needs to be created with the "Override the caller ID policy" enabled.

Finally, in Teams Admin/Manage Users, the users can be selected, and the new Caller ID policy can be assigned.

Regarding the pool of call minutes, users in the same country/region with the same Calling Plan collectively share a pool of minutes. For example, if there are 100 users in the same country/region with a 120-minute Domestic Calling Plan, they share a pool of 12,000 minutes. Any calls surpassing these minutes are billed per minute.

Please be aware that the country/region is determined by the location of the user's license in the Microsoft 365 admin center > Active users, not the billing address listed under the Organization Profile in the Microsoft 365 admin center.
