Teams personal app - There was a problem reaching this app

The bug occurs when the personal app requests video permission and the user reloads the app during this process. The reload loads the app, but the video permission request throws an error: "DOMException: Failed due to shutdown". This error indicates that the next reload will cause the app to break.

Once this bug occurs, all personal apps fail to load, displaying the error message: “There was a problem reaching this app.” The only ways to open the app without encountering this bug are to open it in a new window or restart Microsoft Teams.

System Information:

• OS: macOS Sonoma 14.3

• CPU: Apple M1 Pro

• Microsoft Teams version: 24180.207.2997.1350

• Teams client version: 50/24062724814

Additional Notes:

  • The bug does not seem to occur on Windows, suggesting it may be specific to the macOS version of Microsoft Teams.
  • The page that the personal app opens requests camera permission everytime that the page loads

Steps to Replicate:

1.Open the personal app.

2.Reload the app when the camera icon   appears in the macOS menu bar.

3.Observe that the app loads but encounters an error when trying to get permissions: DOMException: Failed due to shutdown (indicating the next reload will fail).

4.Reload the app again.

5.The bug should now be replicated.

When the bug occurs, the screen display this page, if you have a loading indicator, else displays a blank page.

I don't know if this is the better place to create this bug, if not, please redirect me for the correct place. Thank you!
