Teams Live - big lag between when question is asked and when it appears

We've been using Teams Live quite a bit, and it's gaining popularity with our people now working from home. We've started to notice that there's quite a big lag between when a question is asked by an Attendee and when it appears to the Producer?

We ran a test session to see if it was a case of Producers looking in the wrong spot, and it's not, unfortunately. Would love any guidance or advice anyone might have.

Edit to add: the lag between the question being posted/question showing up for producer is about 10 minutes, and it's not consistent. They had 3 Producers on the test call, and it only lagged for one of them (other two were fine).

  • This is normal, there is a 30 second give or take delay between your production feed getting through the azure / stream services. So their questions will be delayed because what they see will be 30-45seconds + in the future before they send their QA in to the presenter.

Thanks Chris - sorry I should have mentioned in my original post - the delay is more like 10 minutes, and it's not happening consistently (there were 3 producers on the test call, but only seemed to lag for one of them).
      • Ahh, yeah that doesn't seem like it's working properly. Not sure if it's a system load thing with everything going on or not, does it always do it, or is it random with certain presenters? How many people attend these, are they all internal users? Might be an option to create a Team with everyone in it for the events to use more real time chat as a work around possibly?
