Teams Live - big lag between when question is asked and when it appears
We've been using Teams Live quite a bit, and it's gaining popularity with our people now working from home. We've started to notice that there's quite a big lag between when a question is asked by an...

This is normal, there is a 30 second give or take delay between your production feed getting through the azure / stream services. So their questions will be delayed because what they see will be 30-45seconds + in the future before they send their QA in to the presenter.
- chel4Mar 29, 2020Copper ContributorThanks Chris - sorry I should have mentioned in my original post - the delay is more like 10 minutes, and it's not happening consistently (there were 3 producers on the test call, but only seemed to lag for one of them).
- Mar 29, 2020Ahh, yeah that doesn't seem like it's working properly. Not sure if it's a system load thing with everything going on or not, does it always do it, or is it random with certain presenters? How many people attend these, are they all internal users? Might be an option to create a Team with everyone in it for the events to use more real time chat as a work around possibly?
- chel4Mar 29, 2020Copper ContributorIt seems to be random - this event is 100+ people, they're all internal but accessing via home WIFI. I've asked for more detail on the test run (like who the two users are that didn't have issues and are they from the same area) but not heard back yet.
It probably is a system load thing, was thinking MS might be scaling back on some of the features (which would make total sense, given how much use they're likely getting!) Appreciate your help Chris, thank you so much.
