Teams is KILLING my Mac Every Day

    Hi everyone, we're pleased to announce Microsoft Teams for Apple Silicon, which on the M1/M2 ARM builds, will have significantly faster performance than what's seen during the Rosetta emulation today!     Users should see a significant performance boost with this release. And for the Intel Macs out there, we're still thinking about you! We have some large performance fixes coming that will help improve overall performance for the Intel version as well.

As a Windows 10/11 user, this is hurting me as well. Because some of my colleagues are using Macbooks where Teams is causing massive performance issues, we are using alternatives (zoom, google meet). This is a 60.000 user environment, with an A5 license, it's very disappointing we can't use the full MS stack because of this issue.

    I switched to the browser version of Teams because of this. Works like a charm.

      On browser version you cannot use multiple features as owner of the group, breakout rooms is just one example. Unfortunately untill Microsoft fixes it as far as I've researched nothing can be done.
