Teams Invite Doesn't Work

Hi,

We have Teams set up for our new organization. The person who created the Teams account invited me to join it via email. I received the email and clicked the link to join. I am then signing in using the email address I received the email at. I created a Microsoft account under that email and that went fine. But when I get to the part where I log into Teams, it says, "You're not on Teams yet, but you can set it up for your organization."

However, when the person who created the account logs in, they see me as a team member. Does anyone know why I can't log in?

Thanks!

  • Have them get a link to the Team and try with incognito and logging in with the MSA. Assuming they invited that same e-mail with MSA. When you log in, does it prompt for "Work or Personal account"

AFAIK if your organisation has Office 365, Microsoft Accounts do not work and you have to license each user.
