Teams Creates Weird Names in Meetings
- Mar 29, 2021
A colleague answered to me:
"When an attendee uses a Microsoft Account (aka Live ID) instead of an M365 account, I have seen this. When he drops off the meeting and rejoins, each time the display name textbox adds additional characters. This is not specific to the Teams web client:
1. Join: John Doe
2. Join: “John Doe”
3. Join: \“John Doe\”
4. ….
I suspect some sort of Html-encoding/decoding/security function."I guess, my colleague is right.

Lisa_Wilke-Thissen I've seen this as well. Any ideas?
