Teams Calling Plan & Teams Direct Routing in UAE & Indonesia
Hello,
Request you to let me know if Microsoft is offering Teams Calling Plan in the UAE and Indonesia.
If not, is there any carrier providing Teams Direct Routing in these countries.
Regards,
Vikram
- Hi, here under the UAE and Indonesia calling plan availability. Unfortunately, the calling plan purchase is not available for the moment for those countries. as for the direct routing provider, i suggest that you open a case with Microsoft and ask them about the partner providers that have in those countries. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/country-and-region-availability-for-audio-conferencing-and-calling-plans/availability-in-the-united-arab-emirates-uae https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/country-and-region-availability-for-audio-conferencing-and-calling-plans/availability-in-indonesia
Hi vikramh24288 , to my knowledge there are some legal hurdles and there is no way to connect a SIP trunk via a hosted SBC or use provider solutions like Operator Connect. The law in these regions prohibits this.
I think you need to look for a local SBC solution and implement Direct Routing locally.
- Pradeep0102Copper ContributorHi Vikram,
Microsoft Calling Plan & Teams Operator Connect, both are not available for UAE. We can propose Teams DR for UAE & Indonesia. It's been nearly a year. If the opportunity is still open, please let me know.
We can get Teams OC in 33+ countries & Teams DR in regulated countries.

Pradeep0102 can you please confirm if MS teams can be used in UAE for outbound too?
I setup our SBC as trunk with Teams, it works just fine for inbound, however when i attempt an outbound (even with the voice routes/PSTN usage etc) setup, the original caller id is set to Anonymous all the time and the call fails with the reason " no voice path available.
Since i can't see any invite coming to our SBC, do you know if DU is blocking any of the traffic or using an on-prem SBC is not a viable solution?
I know Etisalat is offering a service for teams so i assume is legit and doable.
