Teams Breakout Rooms Settings from policy not parent room
We have a defauly policy for teams meetings where only the organiser is able to present (in a school setting this is a non-negotiable)
HOWEVER, if we create a meeting where we plan to use breakout rooms, we can change the "host" meeting settings to allow for everyone to present, but as soon as the breakout rooms are running, attendees are the default settings, so the owner has to go into each breakout room and change each room settings
I understand logically that its taking the settings from the policy, but in actual use, it would make more sense to act as "sub meetings" of the main parent meeting with the same settings
OR for there to be a toggle in the overall breakout settings (where currently you can decide if they can rejoin main call) to make all rooms open presenters
OR to be able to pre-set up rooms and allocate users to rooms (PLEASE!) before they go live

I totally agree! I was just in a Professional Development that had 15 breakout rooms and I had to go into each room to make someone a presenter, only to find out that the setting didn't stick for when we went back into the breakout rooms.

ChristianBergstromMake sense! But we need a way to push some different settings from the meeting policy.
We've found the same thing - ideally just a on/off switch when creating the breakout rooms "Inherit settings from parent meeting" (but worded a bit more "user-friendly") would be nice.
