Teams Auto Attendant Company Directory Confusion
Setting up an Auto-Attendant has the option of a Company Directory Search by name feature but the confusing part is how to we tell the person on the phone what they need to do first, before they start typing in letters (when they don't want to use voice commands). For example, if we have press 2 for Sales, and they just start typing in the letter A, it will go to Sales.
We also have an O365 group setup for the exclusions of the Company Directory search but there is a missing gap between the built-in in Company Directory Search feature and the Dial Key setting.
If we say said in the greeting "for our company directory, please press 1", we have to then assign that built-in Company Directory search to yet another resource account and then another auto-attendant (this is what Microsoft told me). But then how would that work for the 3rd screen over for the Company Directory exclusions if we're now creating a Resource account which is now tied to another O365 group? Isn't the directory built-in using the groups you setup in the Inclusion and Exclusion Groups?
Now Microsoft is telling me the directory search will only work with voice commands. We all know that this will NOT work for many people with accents, speech impediments etc so that is absurd.
