Teams Adds Explicit Consent for Recorded Meetings
Hi,
I have configured “Teams Adds Explicit Consent for Recorded Meetings”. This is working for the most time. But for some external users in the same meeting, user can not consent.
They will get popup to consent, but no option YES. Only y cancel or OK. If I click OK nothing happens.
I have testes also with Android device with lates version of MS teams. I try with google account and I try with my private MS account.
- I just rolled this out and have the issue with guest accounts. Essentially you have to be M365 federated to unmute if the consent pops up. I read in the comments in a Tony Redmond post that a MS engineer said this was expected functionality. A great enhancement that’s going to get overshadowed by the fact guests can’t unmute..

Hi Mali_Stane
Since you confirmed that you have latest version of teams running on your device and its been working for sometime until recently.
Please try and clear Teams cache. Clearing the cache of the Teams app on your device can help resolve various issues.

- Mali_StaneCopper ContributorIt does not work for guest users.
Ms teams app is at the latest version.
As guest user, you do not have option to click YES, only OK or cancel. When clicking ok, nothing happens, you can click on mike or camera how many times you like.- Zuber_SyedCopper Contributor
Mali_Stane Any updates on this. I see the recording consent just does not work on guest accounts. they cannot turn on the microphone.
