Team Meeting Recording using shared mailbox/calendar - recordings saved in that account
All of our shared mailboxes don't have O365 licence because they a shared mailboxes, linked to existing users accounts that do have an O365 licence. But recently we've had few of our users complain ...
- Aug 26, 2024100% the solution is to advise staff that meetings shouldn't be held using Shared mailboxes/calendars. It would be better to schedule the meeting in a Team and the recording would be stored directly in the Team vs a OneDrive for Business. Unfortunately, old habits are difficult to change without proper backing from leadership.
Alternatively, if the F3 license is in place for the mailbox, users can be given access to the OneDrive supporting that mailbox so that they can download the files and transfer the meeting recordings elsewhere. Security/compliance that would be no different than setting a delegate on shared mailbox.

- Otacon23Aug 29, 2024Copper ContributorThanks for the response. I guess just have to advise to schedule meetings in their own calendar or Team, not on shared mailboxes anymore. We won't be added F3/E3 else will be flagged with our Managers on why we are doing this for loads of mailboxes.
