Team Calls - screen layout
Hi, one of our members seems to have changed the layout of her Teams Call screen and we cannot figure out how to change it back to the default. This is her current screen
This is how our screen is usually presented.
Can anyone help with returning it to our default layout?
Thanks.

- William ChondrodiharjoCopper ContributorI agree with all users. We like the old view better, more compact, require less eye movements in the single view.
And why do we need such a big History panel right smack in the middle of the page?? Who use History to find other people in the organizations anyway, we use Speed Dial! It's called Speed for it's purpose. - Cityman470Copper Contributor
The new layout is far worse than the previous one.
The Speed Dial "tiles" was great for many reasons. I hope that Microsoft is reading and will <at least> allow users to configure the window layout.DS_BCC_IT
- stremainCopper ContributorCould not agree more. The new calling experience is is a very poor design choice. Everyone has already pointed out the shortcomings of this approach. Either change it back, or provide the ability to customize the layout. Extremely poor use of screen real estate. I used to be able to view the status of our entire organization on one screen. Now, that side panel (speed dial) shows roughly half of our staff. One step forward, THREE steps back. typical.
I struggle to understand the workflow process that these design "features" go through before being rolled into an update. Based on the feedback, you can't tell me that this choice was met with overwhelming support.- BB14726Copper Contributor
Dear Microsoft,
I realize it is very difficult to admit that you were wrong or made a mistake, but based on all of the responses and the very negative feedback that has been posted regarding the Call History and Speed Dial and Message changes to the Calls Tab, I think that it is time to at least offer a compromise and provide a Setting to go back to the Classic View.
This way the "FEW" Teams Users that like this new approach can enjoy the current Layout and the rest of the Users that prefer to have the old "Classic" view can switch to that layout and easily get back to work with out digging around to send someone a Message or Make a Quick call to their Speed Dial (Favorites).
I do not need to look at my Call Log, I need to easily access the people that I have in my Favorites, whether it be a message or a call.
Please make this change asap, so that we can get back to work efficiently.

The calls history vs speed dial layout change makes Teams far less user-friendly and useful. We might make 20-50 calls per day. But most of our communications are with a select group. We need the speed dial to be prominent. Please revert. stremain

I agree! Change it back to the way it was! This new layout is terrible.
- Tall_PaulBrass ContributorWeeks spent creating videos for our Teams calling rollout...in the thick of transition this last weeks or so...then the screens change...awesome work!
Agree with all points made, less clean & logical approach to the screens, benefit having 'voicemail' more accessible however, it seems at the moment, missed external calls are not polling in the activity screens for us either, not a great design choice Team! - Volmar61Copper ContributorI have just wasted a fair bit of time trying to revert the display before resorting to the forum for advice. I have a large screen and on the call window most of the centre it is now empty We need to be able to amend the display to suit our personal requirements and I agree the speed dial/contacts was the best function.

Yes the browser version works ok for me too. Not idea but this does mean my days become easier. Thank you for the information. Its not ideal to use the Browser version but a far better version and more user friendly than the update version.
- D_Cole1060Copper ContributorWeb browser idea works well - but does not work with all browsers..... but nice not to have history smack bang in the middle of my screen anymore

Hi, The New layout create a lot of extra work and do not give the overwiev needed. Please Return to the old voew that was a lot more practical and user friendly

DS_BCC_IT Agree wh oleheartedly with the previous comments. This layout will not be well received by any of the users in our organization. Seeing all contacts on one screen is a quick way to do see whether someone is available for a conversation. Now it takes multiple clicks to achieve the same goal. Please, please offer a way for users to choose.
