Sync Outlook Contact SubFolders and Global Address List With Teams
Hi
We've recently started using Teams and the only real issue I have so far is that I only have 5 contacts listed in Teams.
These 5 are the only ones that are in the "Contacts" folder in Outlook.
I don't even know why they're there to be honest as all of the contacts I have added in Outlook are in other contact 'sub-folders' for organisation purposes.
I have a 'Clients and Contractors' folder, and a 'Manufacturers' folder. Between these two folders and the 'Default Global Address List' I have all the contacts I need in Outlook.
None of these show up in Teams though, only those in the built in 'Contacts' folder.
How do we get Teams to pick up and show our other contact lists please?
(Windows 10 Teams Desktop app, Office 365 & Exchange Online)
Many thanks.

- rosenjonmsftCopper ContributorThere is a workaround here. Teams pulls your contacts from your primary contact folder for your Exchange Online account (if you are using Exchange Online). So you will not get contacts organized by subfolder (unless you use a third party add-in). However...you can move any contacts you want to show up in teams into the root contact folder for your Exchange account (in outlook...it will show up as a contact folder with your email address as the folder). Any contacts you move to another folder will not show up in Teams contacts. So by reorganizing contacts into the root contact folder for your account, you can either have it show in Teams or not (and it's drag and drop). It's not pretty...but it works as a way to do this.

Wow - Really?!
So after a couple of decades of people getting used to organising their contacts in Outlook, MS just decide to ignore what is, to me, 50% of its functionality when connecting it to Teams?
A mail app has essentially two jobs, store & organise contacts, and send/receive/organise messages.

Microsoft has been ignoring all of us on the ability to search the Global Address List from within Teams.
