Sync button on channel not working anymore
- Aug 20, 2020
StephanGee had the same problem.... if you open the lib in Sharepoint the Sync button works there.
Hi StephanGee et al.
Per word from my engineering team, all necessary fixes have been released.
Please let me know if you are still seeing this issue. And if so, please send a quick list of actions you've taken to repro the issue. In my own two tests, I was able to sync properly from Teams today (Jan.19.2021).
Thanks, Mark
Hi Mark.
I get one step further but it did not sync. It stays at this point. The same problem is showing up for some of my colleagues.
OneDrive Version
After signing out and in in Teams it worked.

StephanGee Mark-Kashman We have the exact same issue. Users are really frustrated with the Teams client. The amount of times they are told to sign out and back in for various reasons in crazy. There needs to be a better answer. This may be a known bug, but it's still not fixed it's only changed its behavior. Instead of nothing happen this dialogue pops up and then nothing happens.

We have the same issue here. Any plans already for a fix?
Thanks

StephanGee Mark-Kashman We have the same issue and our customer experience this issue as well. It works fine if you do it from Teams inside the browser (or directly from SharePoint) but it does not work when clicking Sync inside the Teams client.

We are also seeing the same problem across Teams, OneDrive, and Windows builds.
I just tested on my machine which is one of the more up to date in the org and the behavior is the same.
Teams: 1.3.00.34662 (32-bit)
OneDrive: 21.011.0117.0001
Windows: 19042.746
Using the SharePoint workaround is acceptable, but our service desk is getting a lot of questions as to why they can't use this sync button and then disbelief that it "just doesn't work"
- bjones2160Feb 09, 2021Copper ContributorSeeing this across most of our 100+ machines as well, have had the issue for a few months. Just got it today on a computer that was fully up to date between Office 365/Windows 10/Teams/One Drive.
The quickest work-around I've seen is just doing a full "Quit" on Teams to shut it down then start it up again. Usually that will get the Sync button working again, but sometimes it does take multiple Quits.
