Switching to Teams-Only buggy?

Hi there,

we currently moving some of our users to the teams-only mode and it seems pretty buggy to me.

If a user is moved to teams, it takes more than 24 hours to apply and even then the user still shows up as

using Skype within teams and users cannot chat, because it says "...User has switched to Skype for Business - Chat disabled..." (see attachment).

The WebVersion and the iOS App show the same error messages. Sometimes you need the clear the cache for Teams Desktop for it to function half way properly.

Really keeping us from doing larger moves at the moment.

Does anyone else have those issues?

How are you moving your users to teams? Powershell or GUI?

Thanks,

Robert

  • I've seen it take a week for clients to update their cache endpoints. It's a mess right now, they are working on some updates to get all these switch overs to 24 hours worse case, that way you can change over a weekend and be good, but right now, usually it is done in 72 hours, but I've seen sometimes go longer.
  • The thing is it takes time! Can take a bit longer that 24 hours for it to properly settle!
AFAIK MS is working to improve this time

in your experience how much time did it take for you to settle in?
      • I’m not really sure about exact time! I did it on Friday afternoon and it was fine on Monday :)
Although I’ve heard it can take days from other people
