Status does not update (New Teams)

Hi,  We've been testing the new Teams before we roll it out more widely. We have noticed that your status does not update consistently with the new Teams, as in, here is one scenario as an example ...

DaveTheTeamsGuy I tried these updates, but Teams shows me as always online, even in the middle of the night.  I work on global teams, so I get messages at 3 and 4am EST, and my team jokes that I am always online (I do work a lot, but I do actually sleep, LOL).  I have the Teams app on my phone as well, so does the iOS version of Teams have an impact with this issue?  Are there any updates or setting changes needed for the iOS app?

AFK05 I don't think iOS makes a difference.  Mine is not having that issue and I use Teams on my iPhone as well and I keep my iOS up to date.  I was having the issue initially when using the new Teams, but it seems to be better now.

    AFK05 same with us, we were having issues (it was with everyone and not isolated cases) with the status of the new Teams when it first came out, but seems like Microsoft has addressed it. It's been okay for us since. We didn't need to do anything on our end. So you might want to get in touch with Microsoft if you're still experiencing issues...? 🙂
