bynum It looks like the checkbox is removed but the the share audio button is still there.

bynum It's very frustrating that Microsoft stopped to support sharing audio from a Mac. I just saw this article (Jan 2021) and it looks like this feature is now available in the "public preview" version. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/share-sound-from-your-computer-in-a-teams-meeting-or-live-event-dddede9f-e3d0-4330-873a-fa061a0d8e3b
I tried to update my Teams software and it doesn't work. I can't get that preview version, which is supposed to support that feature again. In the Office 365 Admin Center, there is a toggle to enable "preview features" in Teams. It's enabled, but it doesn't change anything. I contacted support, I hope they will be able to help. But it's great to see that Microsoft finally did something. You can also see the release note here (look for Version 2101: January 13) => https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/officeupdates/current-channel-preview
I hope Microsoft will support virtual cameras soon. All other video-related software supports virtual cameras, except Teams for Mac. That would allow people to use software like OBS, to have better visual (green screen, banners, logo, etc.).
- Tommy1976Feb 26, 2021Copper ContributorThe option is back! Yeah! I think there is a delay between when we activate the toggle in the Admin Center, and when Teams realizes it should propose the option. I restarted Teams a couple of times, and I saw the "preview" option in the "About" menu. I did a quick test, sharing my screen with audio, and it seems to work (at first view), but I'll do more tests to make sure everything is good.
Note that the version number will remain the same. I still see version 1.3.00.33671 (2021-01-04), but in the About menu, I see "Public Preview" and "Developer Preview", and both options are checked. - Will FindlayFeb 26, 2021Brass Contributor
If you use Teams on the Web in Chrome you can get your virtual cameras back I think.
- Tommy1976Feb 26, 2021Copper ContributorThanks Will for the info. I always use the Teams client, which should be better than the browser version, as it can access all computer's resources. I'll give it a try (web version), to see if it works. I hope Microsoft will enable that feature in the client version.
