Return Images to the Banner Announcement feature to Teams!!
We post jobs for volunteers to review on our channel. Each project has an image in the announcement. They may not remember the name of the project or the color of the background (some cannot see colors), but they do take note of the image. Last year, it was there - then it went away and came back briefly, and now it's gone again. Please don't tell me to go make a banner in yet another tool; just please - with cherries on top - return the feature that we all enjoy, and it works. Let it work. Thanks!

Hi dawnTranslations,
Microsoft Teams introduced Custom Backgrounds for Announcement Posts, enabling users to create personalized backgrounds through the generative AI power of Microsoft Designer. The feature is initially rolled out for Channels 2.0 in English – US markets.
Additionally, a Teams Premium version offered access to DALL-E, a text-to-image generator, for creating custom backgrounds. This advanced capability came with Teams Premium, and non-US tenants temporarily lost the ability to upload images if they didn't have access to Designer.

What if I want to insert a specific image without AI "suggestions"? This doesn't seem to be possible.

Hi, Erik_Osborn
It sounds like you're using Teams with Designer, if that is the case:
- Click, Start a post in Teams.
- Select Announcement.
- Click on the Designer icon.
- Click Add image, and scroll to your desired image.
- Select the layout you prefer (Designer provides multiple options including one with no suggestions).
- Click Customize.
- Click Done when you're finished. That should do it!
