Restrict Team Creation from an O365 Group
Hello,
I am aware of and have implemented the documented restriction for users who can create O365 Groups which then prevents them from creating new Teams. For users that do not have permission to create new Teams, if they had existing O365 Groups that were created before the restriction was implemented they now have the option to convert an existing group into a Team.
Can anyone please advise if its possible to restrict this option as well to prevent users from converting their O365 Groups into Teams?
Hi, am pretty certain that you can't do much about this. As you say, they cannot create new groups, but there is nothing stopping them linking existing groups to create a Team
LeeDrinkwater it is possible to hide the link within the SharePoint Site, but I do not believe it is possible to stop users converting the Group inside of the Teams interface.
