PowerPoint Live - presentation timer

If Presenter View is used in PowerPoint desktop app, it would show a timer in the left upper corner - quite essential feature for a presenter who wants to follow their floor time. However, if the slide deck is shared via PowerPoint Live in Teams, there's no timer. Any rumors/insights if the gap is going to be filled? Its implications are quite severe: the users have to use 3rd party on-screen timers, meaning that they have to use screen sharing instead of PowerPoint Live. An alternative option could be Teams app that would show a timer in the chat pane. I didn't find anything, please don't hesitate to suggest if you know one.
