Owner can't delete flow bot posts in teams channel
- Dec 05, 2023
Lise Arsenault Keep in mind that while awaiting the bug fix, team owners can still delete flow bot posts using the mobile app. It's an effective workaround until the issue with the desktop app is addressed.
I did find a post in this community that speaks to this. It says that owners are able to delete when using the mobile app but not on PC. I tested this theory and yes, I am able to delete when using the app on my cell phone but not when using either the browser app or desktop app on my PC. What would be the difference between the these?

Unfortunately this workaround is not working as of May 2025.

I changed the behaviour of the bot to "post as" my login and now I'm able to delete the bot's posts. The other option is to enable deleting other people's posts at the teams admin level.

That setting is enabled, but I still can’t delete the posts. I can delete posts from any user except the flow bot

I am trying to delete a flowbot post via the MS TEAMS app on Apple but there appears to be no delete functionality. Has this workaround been superseded by a new approach?

BarryGoblon is there any update on this? I still can't delete a message in channel via workflows. Both on PC and App.

I had to change an MS Teams policy to allow team owners to delete workflow messages.

I had exactly the same issue. Set teams authorisation so that owner can delete posts but it did not work. Thanks to your tip it did work via the mobile app.
Thanks
