Online meeting issue (got kicked out, can't get back in)

Dear forum members, 

our team faced another Microsoft Teams online meeting issue. One of our team members got for some reason kicked out of the meeting. However their user account is still in the meeting and when they try to re-enter, Teams tells them that they're already logged in.

I tried to remove the user from the meeting manually, with no success (pressing remove from meeting does nothing). 

Any advice on how to troubleshoot this?
