Office 365 E3 --> Audioconferencing
- Jun 19, 2019
Ah ok. Generally speaking, communication credits are used with individual voice plans that are added to phone system (I.e. domestic and international). If a user goes over the limits of their call plan then communication credits are used. AFAIK communication credits are currently billed on a subscription directly with Microsoft.
However, they are also apply to the scenarios as outlined in the article regarding Audio conferencing. Mainly for toll free calls and for dialling out. In 99% of cases partners I know have customers dial in on a local number and don't call out on meetings so they don't trigger the scenarios for communication credits.
Hope that clarifies

Thank you. Yes, this helps a lot. One more question:
Do you know (or anyone else) what the "Communications Credits" are then about?
(https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/what-are-communications-credits)
I do not exactly understand for what I might need them. Let's say I have the Office 365 E3 license plus the add-on Audioconferencing. Now I use Teams and have a call from Germany with one who is in the moment in the USA and he wanna use the dial-in function with a local number. Will it work without any additional costs?

LukasPEM is it really necessary to provide toll-free, in most countries it's entirely satisfactory to dial a national rate number. You'll also get the ability for people in your home country to be dialled back included.
