Hi TunMMF,
If you're having trouble finding a Teams group or its members by typing their names in the search bar, here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
1. Check search scope: Make sure you are searching within the appropriate scope. By default, Teams search is set to "All" which includes messages, people, and files. However, you can narrow down your search by selecting the desired scope such as "Messages," "People," or "Files" using the filters available in the search results page.
2. Verify permissions: Ensure that you have the necessary permissions to access the Teams group and view its members. If you don't have the appropriate access rights, you may not be able to find or view the group and its members through the search function.
3. Confirm spelling and keywords: Double-check the spelling of the Teams group name and member names you are searching for. Also, try using different keywords or variations to improve search results. It's possible that a slight misspelling or different keyword might yield better results.
4. Test on different platforms: If you're using the Teams desktop application, try accessing Teams through a different platform such as the web version or mobile app. This can help determine if the issue is specific to a particular platform or if it persists across different devices.
5. Restart the application: Close and restart the Teams application. Sometimes, restarting the app can resolve temporary glitches or issues that may be affecting the search functionality.
6. Update Teams app: Ensure that you are using the latest version of the Teams application. Check for any available updates and install them if necessary. Updates often include bug fixes and improvements that can address search-related issues.

This is a beating around the bush thing in the old Teams to do a search you used the /find switch
Which worked just fine of course with the "New Teams" there is no such switch and actually there is no search at all - The new teams is set-up for causal users that only talk to few people but I work across companies that have many Teams channels and you can imagine if you do a search for the name Marie how many results you get so I'm suppose to go through 10's of thousands entries to find the one I'm looking for ... How is that an improvement?
Not to mention there is no longer a way to segregate different people into different groups there just all lopped together again how is that helpful for anyone that works in an office that has more than 10 people
Again how is the "New Teams" an improvement ... well Ok it is better than smoke signals ... but barely - VMJOHNCopper Contributor
Some Teams (the last one to be created) and channels are not retrieved by search. But you can find them on the Teams list (which unfortunately we cannot organize in alphabetical order).,

Thanks for sharing.
1. Check search scope: i tested to search by contents that i have seem and unable to find so
2. Verify permissions: i am the member of the team group
3. Confirm spelling and keywords: try to search by copy and paste of message
4. Test on different platforms: Tested on Web version as well but same result
5. Restart the application: Tested with restart application, restart computer
6. Update Teams app: Confirmed that it's latest version.
