Teams Phone with PSTN calling works fine. Which implementation did you choose?
Microsoft Calling Plan, Operator Connect or Direct Routing with SBC or Hosted SBC?
You can look at https://admin.teams.microsoft,com analytics&report > Usage reports >PSTN and SMS report (preview) to check your calls if something happened like a fraud attack.
