Microsoft Teams access to chat and recording
Hellorachel0h
welcome to the Microsoft community, my name is Recep I'll be happy to help you today.
I understand that someone forwarded your invite to a group of people that should not be invited to the meeting and now you want to restrict them from accessing the recording or chat without restricting other people?
Please note that generally, the team meeting recording is stored on the SharePoint site, and all site members can view these recordings by default. If you only want specific users can view these recordings, please try the following steps:
1. Go to site> Documents> General
2. If you want to apply the change to all recordings, you need to edit the permission of the Recordings folder. If you want to apply the change to a specific recording, you need to edit the permission of the recording.
3. Select the Recording folder or the recording, click the three points, Manage access, Stop sharing, remove the existing sharing, only site owners will still have permission, then add users/group again.
Also to restrict them from accessing the chat, just remove them from the group.

Thank you very much for your email response.
People invited to the meeting have permissions to the recording (guests and external attendees can view the recording only if it's explicitly shared with them). If I have answered your question, please mark your post as Solved
