@mention when inviting to meetings
Hi,
Is it only me who are missing the flexibility when schedule meetings in Teams and especially in channels.
Today there are an on/off switch which allows you to have all team members to receive copies of conversations or events in the team. This is very convenient if you like to invite to meetings for the whole team to participate in because you don't need to add all members into the invite.
The drawback is that you can never create a channel meeting without inviting the whole team to it.
Why not utilising the way it works with notifications in the conversations feed?
@Team - Invites all team members
@Channel - Invites people that "follow" this channel
@Tags - Invites members with a certain tag
@People - Invites certain people (maybe not necessary because this is already there)
I have created a voice right here if you like to vote for it: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/42364333-schedule-meetings-using-mentions-of-team-channel

I did vote... since we don't have a separate members list for the channel unless it is a private channel...
I think we should wait for the UserVoice which we can schedule meetings in the private channels as of today we can do meet now in the Private channel which members are repeated as you wanted...
Tags are also separated and do have their own meet now and schedule option.
here is the link to that UserVoice!
Also best of luck with your UserVoice I did vote already...

PDostiyar - I agree with you, according to me schedule meetings in Private channels should have been there from the beginning but never the less really hoping it become available soon. Actually I've already voted that voice long time ago :).
With that said, I think it's two completely different voices and request. Using Private channels is great but also require administration and also remove transparency within the Team. The whole idea with @mentions is to keep transparency but be able to target a certain audience anyway.
