Meeting Recording policy enabled - users see lock icon
Hi all,
We have Meeting recording and Transcription enabled under the Global (Org-wide default) policy. Users still see the lock icon against the options in the Teams client though. They nor their computers are in any other Teams policies that would disable these. Does anyone know what the issue might be?

Even though meeting recording and transcription are enabled in the global policy, users might still see the lock icon if something else is blocking it, like missing licenses (E3/E5), compliance settings, or a policy set on the meeting organizer. It could also be a simple Teams cache issue or an incomplete setup for where the recordings are stored (like Stream on SharePoint). A quick check on those areas should help clear things up.
