I have exactly the same need ... I would like to have shared calendar linked to specific channel (I'm using MS Teams to manage a 4 countries program with 5-6 streams per countries) and be able to invite only specific people and not the 100 members.
We have looked for alternative (in the App Store of MSFT) but nothing ...
Seems to be collaboration feature 1-0-1 ... not sure why MSFT can't provide a solution to this ...
