Is the User Voice affective?

Not sure others, but I feel the User Voice is pretty poor tool for us as user group to send requests to product group.

Here is a very very great idea/fix to Teams:

Download Improvements

But as we can see, this has been noted in July 2018 and only 173 votes. But at the same time I do not know anybody who likes the current download setup. Based on the user voice description, product group do not give any eye for this. So we do not get this fixed.

If you have a great idea like this, but if you do not but effort to advertise your idea and ask others to vote it, the idea never goes further. Meaning if you do not do work behalf of Microsoft, they will not fix it.

No matter if you agree or not this, but please go to vote this if you agree that current download is bad in Teams.

  • Hi!
Yes, the uservoice is effective but I agree that it needs more feedback from Microsoft regarding updates, comments etc.
There’s a huge amount of uservoices but once it reaches a certain level of votes, Microsoft usually picks them up!
If you look at the biggest uservoices most of them is already deployed, including the biggest one - Private Channels!
Microsoft got a huge backlog which makes even a easy fix or something take time! Cause there’s loads of other stuff that has priority! Less than 200 votes is probably not something they will prioritize either..

If there is something you really want to see in the product, share the uservoice to as many people as possible and explain why! Im sure MS sooner or later will pickup on it..with that said, once again MS could be better at providing updates to their old comments
