How to prevent Teams from keeping the MIC enabled even when I am not in a call
I have seen that even when I am not in a call Teams keeps the mic on like eavesdropping. Is there a configuration to set up Teams to release the microphone after a call ?

Hi all an update from me. I moved away from Poly HP BT headset to a Jabra Evolve2 55 Bluetooth.
I no longer have this problem and will only buy Jabra in future, but also for all my staff.
Its still an issue. Teams seems to think that it should switch to "hands-free" (low audio quality tuned for mic and voice) mode anytime it plays a sound at all and never release it. Teams is a joke of a program which I am sadly required to use.
The only way to get it to stop is to disable hands free mode which breaks using your headset.
Has anyone figured out a solution to this since Microsoft doesn't seem to be jumping to fix it and Teams devs are too busy adding new features to fix anything?- New to me! How do you see this? Do you know it’s Teams and not Cortana or something else?
AdamThe microphone settings in Control Panel show me which apps are using it, and Teams is the one showing up doing it. At the same time there is the mic icon visible on the taskbar when an app is using the mic. I'll add screenshots to this post next time this happens to me.
So far the only fix I have found is to close and reopen the app.
Me too, Teams desktop keeps the mic on after a Teams call. Closing the Teams app stopped it.
I'm Using a Poly HP BT headset. Why is it listening to my conversations outside of Teams? 🧐 This is a breach of privacy.
