How to prevent Teams from keeping the MIC enabled even when I am not in a call

I have seen that even when I am not in a call Teams keeps the mic on like eavesdropping. Is there a configuration to set up Teams to release the microphone after a call ?

    New to me! How do you see this? Do you know it’s Teams and not Cortana or something else?

      The microphone settings in Control Panel show me which apps are using it, and Teams is the one showing up doing it. At the same time there is the mic icon visible on the taskbar when an app is using the mic. I'll add screenshots to this post next time this happens to me.

      So far the only fix I have found is to close and reopen the app.

        Me too, Teams desktop keeps the mic on after a Teams call. Closing the Teams app stopped it.

        I'm Using a Poly HP BT headset. Why is it listening to my conversations outside of Teams? 🧐 This is a breach of privacy.
