How to post a message to a channel by clicking on a link?

Our technicians are all members of the same channel the office team is also checking regularly. Now when a technicians arrives on site we would like him to click on a pre-entered link in his Outlook calendar entry that would post the message: "Hi, I've just arrived at 'site name'" to the channel. Is this already possible?

  • Why not just post their location right in the channel? Via more (...) you should find the option to share your location.

Thanks, I'd thought about that but dispatch would like to see the customer mentioned the service techs are at. Combing through the calendar what customer might be at that location is not optimal.

tecc_ Any chance of creating a web hook that can fetch which calendar entry link that was used? Or use flow to ”recieve” the click and pull out the customer and location.

Another ”manual” work around idea, post location and customer name? I.e first post the location and as a reply enter customer. I know - 2 things to do instead of just clicking a link.
