How to Join a Teams meeting from an external company on IPhone or Ipad
Thanks for checking.
Very odd.
I will run some more tests and perhaps get the user to reinstall teams.
Thanks again.
Hi there,
I realise this is an old post but I am experiencing the very same issue. Did you happen to find a solution?
Thank you.

Can you explain exactly how to join an external meeting when having clicked the email link in Gmail on my 2019 ipad mini - the page it opens for me is my identity photo alongside CHAT - under chat is the option to Create a group; Holiday party planning; Chat; Workplace; Rawnsley family - nothing else. This is down the left side - the right side is Chat which is blank or Dashboard which offer to Share location; Share a photo; Add an event; Create a task list; Set up Safe; Chat details. On the bottom of the screen is 3 options plus more... Activity on the left bottom brings up FEED; Chat next is where I have been and described; Meet brings up Start a meeting with a Meet Now button and lastly More.. brings up a selection of 8 options none of which are meeting.
- KaieshaJul 20, 2021Copper ContributorI am operating on an IPhone. IOS is not allowing me to click the link. I have installed then deleted the app because that didn’t work either. Moreover, the purpose of leaving SKYPE in favor of TEAMS Was the easy in simplicity for Android or IOS users who may only use TEAMS once or a few times this is proving to be problematic. What is the immediate solution?

Kaiesha Did your problem get resolved?
I am having the same problem, with Teams installed on my Android phone. I can join meetings from my phone with no issues as long as someone from MY org is the meeting organizer. Works fine from the Teams calendar and via my mobile Outlook.
However, if another org scheduled the meeting I get 'an error occurred' when I try to join via Outlook. When I use the Teams calendar, there is no 'Join' button next to a calendar item if it was scheduled from someone outside of my org. Clicking the link to join the meeting simply hangs.
We are on a GCC tenant, and the other org is not if that is a common denominator for anyone else.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I don’t have a problem through my iPhone, only through my iPad. I’m running the latest version of iPadOS if that makes any difference. It’s very odd. I cannot view through the webpage either, the same issue as mentioned earlier in the thread.

i am having this problem too. I have sent myself a teams invite from my work account/email/pc to my personal email address. When i open the invite and click the 'join meeting' it opens Safari and gives me the same cant join message.
it is an older ipad so i can't download the app, so joining by browser is my only option.
anyone found a solution?
