Windows Credential Manager is one place, I suggest clearing two more folders:
%localappdata%\Microsoft\OneAuth
and
%localappdata%\Microsoft\IdentityCache
This often resolves authentication problems as well, like being logged out regularly for no reason

Wow! That showed how to get rid of old/non-existent "accounts" in Teams account selector. I tried countless times, uninstalled/reinstalled Teams, cleaned the registry... nothing helped. Until I bumped into your comment. Thank you!
